 Over the past few days, I've been mapping out how I'm going to go about doing this project and figuring out the logistics. One of the major questions I needed to work out was who I'm going to interview for my feature article. I want the focus of that article to be on LGBTQ+ youth that are working on intersectional issues, like social justice or climate change. I talked to some people I know and so far there are three different people who would be willing to be interviewed for my article. I'm deciding on whether or not to highlight just one person and go into more depth, or make my article about the three different people, because they all have very different experiences. My next step is to figure out which questions to ask for my feature article and begin to interview people. One thing I'm stuck on right now is the concept of how to take photos.      Creating the storyboard was a very interesting experience, it involved a lot more spatial thinking than I had previously thought. One of the more challenging aspects of the process was deciding how long the articles would be, and how to break them up so that I wouldn’t lose the readers’ attention. One of the more enjoyable elements of the assignment was deciding on the colors, font, and other visual components. This was enjoyable because it really showed me how little things like that can affect the general tone and mood of the article and magazine even though they are not part of the actual content. The two articles were also very helpful: the first one because, although it was talking about films, it had a list of questions towards the bottom of the article that helped with refining my idea, and the second article because it caught my interest by explaining the history of storyboards and then explaining how to create one.
