I'm finishing up the formatting of my magazine and getting ready to submit it. The formatting was a little bit difficult, especially fitting the text in the layout I had designed, but after a while of editing and changing font sizes, it's ready to be submitted. I went over it a few times to check for spelling and grammar mistakes, as well as to make sure it flows well, and now I'm going to submit it via Blogger.

This week, I'm almost done with my magazine. I finished every component, and I'll take this week to get peer reviews and to format the material. I've started working on peer reviews and I got three from friends and family. The sentiment was overall the same: the idea was interesting but I needed to add more about the person I was interviewing. I added more quotes from her as well as pictures that highlighted her as a person.

Over the last few days, I developed a list of questions to ask. These questions range from talking about her journey as a member of the LGBTQ+ community to how that influenced her to get involved with social justice and activism. I talked to her about the current situation of the US today, especially because of the events that happened at the Capitol the other day, and how the political climate affects her as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. She's still working on answers, but what she has told me has been very interesting and I think they'll be perfect additions to an article Note: So sorry these last two were late, I temporarily forgot my password and had to reset it, and it made me wait 48 hours for that.

Over break, I found someone who was willing to be interviewed for the article I'm going to write. She's a college student who's part of the LGBTQ+ community and is deeply involved in social justice issues and current events. I know her through volunteering at an entrepreneurship program in Boston, and although we'll have to do the interview remotely, I think she'll be very a very helpful source. I'll still have to work out how I'm going to figure out photos, especially because Covid makes that a challenge, but I'll get to that next week. My goals for the next couple of days are to figure out which questions to ask and then start asking them.
